The industry’s best young brokers are set to battle it out for a lucrative position in the fourth annual The Adviser Young Broker of the Year, with submissions officially opening today.

The Young Broker of the Year 2015, partnered by Citi Australia, will identify the industry’s most productive and successful young brokers aged 30 and under.

Eric Cui of Alliance Mortgage Solutions in Sydney was the big winner last year. His 381 deals totalling $191 million earned the broker – who had been operating for just 3.5 years at the time of his win – the title of Young Broker of the Year for 2014.

According to The Adviser editor James Mitchell, the Young Broker of the Year rankings offer significant marketing value to those brokers who make the list.

“There are some young brokers out there who are streets ahead of their peers and we want to recognise their achievement and highlight the business attitudes and practices that define them,” he said.

As in years past, this year’s rankings will uncover the final 30 based on a broker's residential volumes, actual home loans written and 'other volumes' such as commercial, vehicle and equipment finance, and insurance.
