A committed supporter of the foundation, Ms McLean said she knows all too well the good work that Starlight does.
“I have four beautiful children and two of them suffer from life-threatening illnesses. My 10-year-old son has been granted his wish from Starlight to be a dolphin trainer and my nine-year-old is regularly in hospital. His stays are made easier and his days a brighter because of the Starlight team,” she said.
Ms McLean and her two children recently featured on The Footy Show (NRL) as part of the launch of the TV program’s Starlight Telethon. And while The Footy Show was raising money for Starlight, Ms McLean thought she could too.
“Having sick kids can be really expensive and it’s hard for us as a family to donate a significant amount of money to Starlight, [so] that’s why I decided to run an initiative through my business,” she said.
“And the best news is that working with me doesn’t cost my clients a cent – I get paid by the successful lender.”
