Mr Pibworth said Iconic’s recruitment process is unique, and it prides itself on its ability to take on new-to-industry brokers and successfully mentor them to become some of the best.
“Iconic like to take on new brokers with a minimum of six months’ experience. The idea behind this recruitment strategy is that Iconic’s senior brokers are available to help mentor and guide new brokers throughout the first few tough years of their career,” he said.
“Iconic is a young, energetic, and forward-thinking company, and it is important that our staff have a personality and work ethic in line with this.”
Mr Pibworth said he looks for five main qualities when recruiting brokers: “passion, drive, hunger, energy and determination”.
Iconic has also announced it has secured a new referral partnership with one of Western Australia’s major building companies, which Mr Pibworth said is worth potentially $400 million in new lending.
This year has been a big one for Iconic so far, having been named Office of the Year – Non-Franchise (with more than five brokers) at the Australian Broking Awards in July, and also introducing digital documents and applications to its customer settlement process.
