Now in its third consecutive year, the Better Business Awards form part of the award-winning Better Business Summit, crowned Event of the Year at both the 2015 and 2014 Publish Awards (previously the Publishers Australia Excellence Awards). The event will also go head to head with the TV Week Logie Awards at the prestigious Australian Magazine Awards tomorrow.
Jim Hall, head of mortgages and real estate at Sterling Publishing – publisher of The Adviser – said the awards present a unique opportunity for brokers to build their profile within the industry and the general public.
“We know that the key to successful broking is building up a local presence. The Better Business Awards provides a unique opportunity to do just this as it celebrates the top performers in each state, as well as those making a genuine difference in their local market,” he said.
“Brokers who qualify as finalists will gain immense additional marketing collateral to build, or further enhance, their reputations with both clients and referral partners in their immediate catchment areas.”
As in previous years, the judging process includes an online submission that covers key business indicators and asks a series of open-ended questions across a range of business topics.
Finalists will then be selected, with the winners to be announced at the state awards dinners in Brisbane on 18 February, Melbourne on 25 February, Sydney on 3 March, Adelaide on 11 March and Perth on 17 March.
