The 27-year-old from Bunbury took up running in 2006 and recently picked up a silver medal at the Athletics World Championships in Doha, Qatar.
His other titles include a silver medal in the men’s 800 metres at Beijing in 2008 as well as a silver and bronze medal at London in 2012.
Mr Scott trained as a mortgage broker in September 2014 and now balances his training schedule while working at Aussie Victoria Park alongside owners Shaun Brodison and Jay Drummond.
“There are a lot of similarities between mortgage brokering and competing in athletics,” Mr Scott said.

“I’m fortunate to work with two great brokers and have learnt a lot over the past year seeing how they handle day-to-day business. They have given me a lot of confidence and mentoring and the support from head office has been incredible – they really look after you, and that’s one of the great traits of Aussie.”
