Several speakers addressed the workshop, including Suncorp Bank national small business manager Robynne Frost who delivered insights into how brokers can boost and diversify their business into small business lending.
“Small businesses represent a significant opportunity for brokers,” Ms Frost said.
“However, in this dynamic environment, it is important for brokers to have access to the tools and support they need to successfully diversify their business and speak confidently with their business lending customers.”
Ms Frost said Suncorp’s Masterclass Series is designed to equip brokers with a deeper understanding of small business lending to put them in the best position to take advantage of this market.
“Participants heard from Stuart Donaldson, founder of Banyan Co, who reinforced the need for brokers to maintain strong connections with their customers and position themselves as trusted advisers,” she added.
“He highlighted how brokers can remove financial complexities for their customers, and outlined how to determine their customers’ business priorities through assessing productivity, profit, cash and financial strength.
“We see our broker partners as business partners and are committed to investing in our broker proposition to ensure they can also deliver a consistently good service to their customers,” Ms Frost said.
Suncorp will host its next series of SME Masterclass in the first week of April in the same three cities.
