The former general manager of a major mortgage aggregator has become the chief executive of a diversified financial services group.

Lindon Financial Group has appointed Steven Heavey to head up the company, which offers a range of financial services including mortgage broking, property management, financial planning, accounting, insurance and funds management.

Mr Heavey has over 25 years’ experience in the mortgage industry, having most recently been Connective’s general manager of strategy, distribution and digital.

Prior to that, he was general manager of intermediaries at Suncorp Bank, as well as general manager of distribution at St George Bank and general manager of mortgage solutions at ANZ.

Mr Heavey was also Mortgage Choice’s national lending manager between 1999 and 2003.

Lindon Financial Group has recently announced a number of key initiatives that revolve around leveraging its core business of finance, property, financial planning, and advisory and tax accounting, Mr Heavey said.

“We are raising capital for several significant developments in Melbourne currently in the planning stage,” he said.
