Round one of the competition generated an outstanding response, with an overwhelming number of brokers putting themselves in contention, testing their knowledge in a race against the clock.
The 50 best brokers progressed to the second round, which saw them compete against each other in another online quiz, with the results determining the final six contestants.
The finalists will now compete onstage at the Australian Broking Awards next Friday (1 July) to win $5,000 cash and be crowned Australia’s brightest broker.
Facing off in this year’s final are Martin Lau (Catalyst Finance), Rick Moffitt (Propel Mortgage), Kristie Oldfield (The Avenue Home Loans), Scott Beattie (Cube Home Loans), Jason Fischman (Finance Detective) and Cristina Liddle (Bellaz Enterprises).
St George’s general manager of mortgage broking Clive Kirkpatrick said the bank is very excited to be part of such an innovative event.
“We’ve received a record number of entries to Broker IQ this year. I’m looking forward to seeing the final six compete and I wish them the best of luck.”
