The nation’s best brokers will once again be named in The Adviser’s Elite Business Writers ranking. Get your entries in now!

Now in its seventh year, the Elite Business Writers ranking has become an essential indicator of the industry's elite and provides a national platform for the top 50 brokers in Australia.

Not only does this ranking give you the chance to battle it out with the top dogs of the broking world, but making the list will also bring significant value to your business and recognition from potential borrowers and high-calibre referral partners.

After taking the top spot in in 2011, 2012 and 2014, Sydney broker Justin Doobov was named the country’s number one loan writer last year.

Mr Doobov is the managing director of North Bondi-based Intelligent Finance and wrote a staggering $685,475,197 in total volumes over the last financial year.

That’s 763 loans in 12 months.

A big part of his success comes down to his team of five support staff, who each work on a different area of the loan writing process. This, he said, has been a key point of difference for his business.

“Other brokers tend to run their own show and may have one assistant,” Mr Doobov said.

“My background — besides having degrees in finance and accounting  is process engineering and logistics,” he said, adding that this background has been harnessed to create a roadmap of the lending and purchase process.

“I have a team that work on my clients’ applications at each stage of the process,” Mr Doobov said.

“Each assistant specialises in a different part of the process, so they become the expert at that step,” he said.
