Launching today, the inaugural National Finance Brokers Day (NFBD) aims to highlight the key role brokers play in helping Australians achieve their financial goals.

An initiative of Suncorp Bank business development manager Dino Pacella, with support from the wider industry, the day aims to publicly promote the benefits of the broker channel and will feature a webinar presented by a panel of industry professionals.

Mr Pacella explained that the day is “historic” for the 18,000 broking industry members who will be in attendance.

He highlighted that the purpose of the day is to “celebrate our profession and show just how important a role we play”.

“NFBD has been 12 months in the making and we are overwhelmed with the support we have received from the industry, from brokers to aggregators to lenders,” Mr Pacella said, adding: “The day is not owned by any one person or group”.

Australia’s top broking experts will answer questions during the live streamed panel discussion.

The FBAA’s Peter White, CEO of lending at Yellow Brick Road Tim Brown, Echofield founder Paul Ryan and the MFAA’s Stephen Hale will make up the panel, joined by Therese O’Neill, founder of Alphabroking Mentoring.

“This is a unique opportunity to tap into the minds of industry leaders and ask questions to those at the coalface,” Mr Pacella remarked.

The live stream will begin at 4:30pm AEST today and will be available through the NFBD Facebook page.
