The Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia has announced it is launching online broadcasts of live and prerecorded professional development days for regional brokers.
MFAA On Demand will allow regional brokers to become involved in professional development (PD) days “so that distance does not create barriers to member education”.

It would also help those outside the main cities to “log the required CPD hours to remain compliant with ASIC requirements”.
“Our team has responded to regional business members who are often too busy to travel to development days or too far away from them,” MFAA head of marketing Stephen Hale said.
“They want to receive the education and information but often miss out due to the sheer size of Australia.
“The MFAA will ensure that at least seven or eight of our PD days are broadcast to regional areas nationally so that brokers don’t feel so isolated.”
Those watching will still need to register to receive the CPD hours and confirm attendance on the day.
Details of the first broadcast have not yet been released.
