Third-party marketing and capital advisory business Axius Partners has welcomed the former director of ANZ’s institutional property group to its team.

Axius Partners, whose managing director George Giovas was recently crowned The Adviser’s Commercial Business Writer 2016, has appointed Adam Cotterell as an executive director.

Mr Cotterell joins the company with over 25 years of experience in banking and project finance experience in real estate and construction.

Prior to joining the team, Mr Cotterell was NSW director for the ANZ Institutional Property Group, leading a team that originated and executed real estate franchising transactions across a range of clients, including off-shore property investors and developers.

Mr Cotterell graduated from the University of Technology Sydney with a Master of Business (Finance and Banking) and the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Arts (Economics).

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Cotterell said: “After a long career in banking, this is a complete change in focus and allows me the opportunity to use my skillset to generate ongoing client satisfaction from a different perspective.”
