The top brokers, brokerages, lender BDMs and loan administrators in Western Australia have been crowned at The Adviser’s Better Business Awards in Perth.

TV Financial Services from Esperance, WA, went home with three awards; director Tamara Virgo took home the coveted titles of Broker of the Year and Best Regional Broker at the awards ceremony last night, while the office as a whole was awarded Best Regional Office for the second year in a row.
Colin Lamb, the director of Mortgage & Finance Solutions was awarded Best Residential Broker while Launch Finance took home two awards: Warrick Greaves was crowned Best Finance Broker while Evan Stickells was named Best Loan Administrator.
National Finance Brokers Day founder Dino Pacella was recognised for his work as Rising Star, and Sarah Lanoue of Resolve Finance was given the accolade of Best Newcomer.
Resolve Finance also was named Best Innovator.
For outstanding customer service, the individual prize went to Mel Primus of Primus Home Loans while Momentum Wealth was awarded Best Customer Service Office.
BDMs from PLAN Australia and P&N Bank were also lauded for their achievements throughout the year.

The Adviser Better Business Summit
More than 4,000 brokers and industry professionals flocked to the event in February and March to learn how to supercharge their sales skills, leverage technology to their advantage, and use market intelligence to get the most out of their business.
Starting in Brisbane on 16 February, and visiting Sydney (23 February), Melbourne (2 March), Adelaide (9 March) and Perth (16 March), the Better Business Summit — partnered by NAB — was a day-long event jam-packed full of practical business tools, training and business intelligence to help brokers build a more productive and profitable business.
Brokers heard from the founder of one of Australia’s leading health and fitness brands, Michelle Bridges, as she led a fascinating session on how she has built her brand and navigated roadblocks to create more sales opportunities and convert more deals.
Ms Bridges also revealed how business leaders can perfect their profile, positioning and pitch to win more clients, more frequently.
In the afternoon, brokers were treated to an entertaining and informative talk from neuro-linguistic programming expert and bestselling author Chris Helder, who unveiled the power of “useful belief” and imparted real-world sales advice in a high-energy session that outlined eight things brokers could do to improve their client relations.
Leading economist Stephen Koukoulas provided attendees with key property and market information to help brokers give sage economic and financial advice to their clients, while marketing guru Beth Powell unveiled four simple steps to help brokers boost the efficacy of digital marketing campaigns.
Lastly, delegates heard from James O’Loghlin, host of the ABC’s TV show The New Inventors, as he led an amusing and eye-opening session on innovation and how to harness it to improve business.
