His new position at Mint Equity – which took out the award for Best Regional office at the 2017 Better Business Awards in NSW – will see him be supporting clients across Sydney, the lower north shore, Newcastle and the Central Coast, with home loans as well as commercial and business finance services.
Mint Equity said Mr Marini’s background – which includes about six years’ experience in finance – would allow him to offer specialised knowledge and "big picture thinking" to the firm’s clients.
Director Zac Peteh commented: “We’ve built a great reputation and a loyal client base so it is important that our mortgage brokers have the skills, knowledge and personality to compliment the business. Shane’s finance background means he can see the big picture and think ahead for clients, ensuring they get the right finance for their lifestyle.”
Mr Marini said he was attracted to Mint Equity’s ethics. He added: “I don’t ever want to work for someone where you have to push products on clients to hit targets, and Mint Equity has the same ethos...
“Once I’d met director Zac Peteh, I knew we were a good fit: his energy is infectious.”
Mr Marini said he looked forward to working in Mint Equity's head office in Somersby, NSW and “leveraging the fine-tuned systems and processes that Mint Equity has developed. Knowledge, speed and efficiency is key for clients, so having a great support crew around you helps alleviate the pain points for clients.”
