MyState Bank has hired the former head of broker support at My Local Broker, Stephanie Kennar, for a new role that will boost the company’s marketing and communications strategies.
Ms Kennar, who was formerly the head of broker support, learning and development at My Local Broker and has previously held marketing management roles within NAB for the Advantedge Group, has been hired by MyState Bank for the newly created role of broker marketing and communication manager.

The position will see Ms Kennar work to “continually improve the broker and customer experience” while leading broker marketing strategies for mortgage acquisition across the broker residential and commercial lending portfolios.
The bank has said that the appointment forms part of its “ongoing commitment to delivering a superior broker experience”.
MyState Limited Group’s executive for broker distribution, Huw Bough, said that he was excited about the skills Ms Kennar would bring to the MyState Bank broker team.
“We’re on the journey to continually evolve for our brokers and customers,” Mr Bough said.
“Stephanie will continue to drive innovation and brings a depth of experience to the broader broker team at MyState Bank. Broker marketing and education will play a key role in our plans for a strong year of growth in 2018.”
Ms Kennar has a wide range of experience in the mortgage industry, specifically focused on marketing, communications, events and education. She is also credited with developing PLAN’s Women in Mortgage Broking Network (WIMBN), which was subsequently acquired by MFAA.
