The website’s 800,000 verified reviews are attached to the property sale transaction to ensure that the information provided is from a genuine property seller or buyer and is unique to the agent.
The mortgage broker reviews solution offers a platform for verified reviews from customers to help others connect with recommended brokers, while the RateMyAgent subscription offers digital marketing services for brokers to build their online presence.
Brokers will require a paid subscription to set up and customise their profile and request and collect reviews.
According to RateMyAgent co-founder Mark Armstrong, the decision to expand the offering to mortgage brokers has come after they identified a gap in the market for broker reviews and marketing services for brokers that would allow them to build their personal brand and digital footprint.
“Mortgage brokers can now harness the platform’s reputation to build trust, credibility and connections – ultimately, helping their business grow and succeed. It’s promising to see many early adopters using our platform and already sharing the value it brings to their business,” Mr Armstrong said.
Commenting on the launch of this service, Entourage Finance managing director and mortgage broker Damien Roylance said it allows his brokerage to convert its relationships with clients into reviews to increase client acquisition.
“The integration of digital marketing services like Google My Business and our feature Social Media Manager will be extremely valuable for those brokers looking to stand out in a competitive market,” he said.
Last year, former consultant Sarah Barnett released a review website for brokers – brokermatch.com.au – which aimed to bring all reviews of brokers into one place.
The website relied on users logging in with their social media credentials or directly via the website using their real name. Consumers could then write a review and leave the brokers stars ratings.
Ms Barnett then launched Social Broker, a content marketing agency for finance professionals, which provides content for broker social media platforms, as well as blogs and content.
