New-to-industry broker Karen Wright started making videos in Australian Sign Language in 2019 following a family tragedy, and has since gone on to gain recognition for her efforts in providing financial literacy education to the deaf and hard of hearing.
Last year, Victoria-based broker and director of KW Lending Solutions, Karen Wright, took home the Better Business Award 2020 for Best Community Engagement Program in Vic/Tas in recognition of her work in delivering financial literacy videos in AusLan to the hard of hearing and deaf community.
In this episode of Elite Broker, host Annie Kane catches up with Victoria-based broker and director of KW Lending Solutions, Karen Wright, to learn why she started creating the videos following her brother’s murder and what she’s learned about providing broking services to deaf clients.
