Included in the BDM expansion is the announcement that Shelley Simpson is now the inaugural state manager of NSW, the ACT, and Queensland, her role effective since 1 January 2022.
Ms Simpson first joined ALI Group in late 2015, with her most recent previous role being state manager NSW/ACT – a position she commenced in 2020.
Ms Simpson’s new posting comes alongside the addition of Sayah Rowles to the NSW BDM team, her role commencing 24 January this year.
Ms Rowles has spent 16 years in the insurance industry with St Andrew’s Australia and Commonwealth Bank subsidiary CommInsure.
Further, the mortgage protection provider has stated that its state manager for South Australia and the Northern Territory, Fiona Gray, will now, in a new combined role, also oversee ALI Group’s Western Australian team.
Ms Gray began her current position on 1 July 2021.
Joining Ms Gray are Darren Bridges and Shaun Brij, who have been added to the South Australia and Northern Territory team.
From 2004 to 2008, Mr Bridges was a senior financial adviser with Westpac, later serving as a senior financial adviser for Pride Advice, as well as a partner and financial adviser with Halpin Wealth.
Mr Brij was a senior account executive with BankSA from 2006 to 2015 before taking on the role of senior lending consultant for HomeStart Finance from 2015 to 2021.
Mr Bridges and Mr Brij both commenced their roles on 3 December last year.
In addition to the appointments of Mr Bridges and Mr Brij, ALI Group has stated Sue Burling officially joined its Western Australian team, her role beginning 5 August 2021.
As per the mortgage protection provider, Ms Burling has over 20 years of experience in the banking and insurance sectors, serving as a sales manager with Bankwest from 2006 to 2009 and as an account manager with St Andrew’s Australia from 2009 to 2020.
ALI Group has also appointed Keridan Taylor as a “dedicated BDM” for its Tasmanian market, officially commencing her role on 5 October 2021.
Prior to her current position, Ms Taylor was a lending manager with Bank of Queensland for part of 2021 and a relationship banker with Bendigo and Adelaide Bank from 2003 to 2013.
Speaking of the vast inclusions, ALI Group national sales manager Gabrielle Moscati said: “We are very fortunate to have a great team that has been with ALI for many years.
“Their passion for what we do is evident and a key factor in that longevity. It’s been wonderful to see Shelley and Fiona move on to broader roles.
“I am confident, with the support of our existing and newly appointed BDMs, even more brokers will become comfortable in discussing risks and protection with their clients.”
