Brokers were left frustrated earlier this week when a glitch in ASIC’s current credit newsletter prevented them from applying for a credit licence.

A number of brokers contacted The Adviser to vent their frustration about the error.

According to various brokers, there was technical problem with the link in the CLO1 form (apply now for registration) in the current Credit newsletter.

The Adviser contacted the industry regulator who later acknowledged the bug and advised that they were in the process of alerting brokers to the problem.

“We have become aware there was a technical problem with the link in the CLO1 form. People accessing this form via the Credit newsletter will now receive a redirect message asking them to go to the Credit pages on the ASIC website,” a statement from ASIC read.
