Award-winning broker group Finweb has appointed ex-PLAN Australia head of operations Julianne Evans as its inaugural general manager.

In her new position, Ms Evans will lead the group’s new and revitalised narrative with brokers, lenders and industry associations.
Ms Evans said it was important for her to be in “a progressive, collaborative business with brokers as the foundation, a business with ambitious growth plans and one that celebrates success”.
She has extensive financial services industry experience, most recently as the head of operations for PLAN Australia, and NAB commercial broker.
Highly respected in the industry Finweb chief executive James Angus, stated: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have Jules on board, and she is already proving to be a tremendous asset to the team.”
Mr Angus highlighted Ms Evans’s extensive industry experience, adding she was well known and highly respected within the broking community.
“Jules is an excellent fit for the business and it’s been great, but not unexpected, seeing her embraced by our members and partners.
“Strategically, her appointment aligns with our vision, which is to turn good people into great brokers and great brokers into extraordinary finance professionals,” he explained.
Big plans for the future
Ms Evans said the new role is the culmination of all that she is passionate about: communication, service and growth.
“Finweb started as a small broker business, and under James’s leadership evolved into an industry-leading broker group,” she said.
“Our complementary skill sets will only support … finweb in the next phase of its growth strategy, from which our members will benefit.
“We’ve got big plans for the future and I can’t wait to bring them to life.”
