The MFAA has received a record number of 19 nominations for the MFAA board, with three director positions becoming vacant in 2022.
All 19 nominees are vying for the opportunity to be a director for the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA).
The nominees are as follows:
Jason Boccaccio — SA

Mr Boccaccio is the director for Adelaide Commercial Finance who takes on a “personal approach” in assisting with financing requirements for SMEs and commercial property owners. He is also the current principal for Adelaide Commercial, having held that role since January 2016.
Scott Bolton — ACT
With over four years’ experience in lending and 16 years’ experience in sales and management, Mr Bolton is a franchisee for the Aussie Home Loans branch in Manuka.
Christopher Borg — Victoria
Mr Borg is the founder and director of Borg Financial, having founded the company in April 2019.
Keith Burns — Qld
A property investment adviser, Mr Burns has been a director and finance strategist for Wealthfolio Financial Services since July 2019.
Peter Clark — NSW
Mr Clark is a mortgage and finance broker, finance business leader, broker coach and mentor. He has been the general manager for Equilibria Finance since May 2021.
Matthew Cunliffe — Qld
The managing director for Mortgage Choice in Brisbane’s CBD and Brisbane North, Mr Cunliffe has held this position for almost 14 years along with being the founder of Proper Group.
Peita Davies — NSW
A veteran in the industry, Ms Davies has been helping clients for almost 20 years. She is currently a lending specialist for the MoneyQuest Penrith and Blue Mountains branches.
Christopher Foster-Ramsay — Victoria
Mr Foster-Ramsay has been the principal finance broker for the independently owned and run Foster Ramsay Finance for over 10 years.
Belinda James — Victoria
Carrying 22 years of experience in the financial service industry, Ms James is currently the director for the boutique mortgage broking business Loan Site Pty Ltd.
Caroline Jean-Baptiste — Qld
A non-executive director for the MFAA since 2019 and a lending specialist and owner of Mortgage Choice Brisbane for the last 17 years.
Simon Kahl — WA
Mr Kahl is the general manager of BGC Housing Group’s subsidiaries and also operates as the licensee of The Loan Company, a position he’s held for over a decade.
Louise Lucas — Victoria
Ms Lucas was a member of the Victorian state advisory committee for MFAA and is an accredited mentor for the MFAA. She started as a franchisee of Destiny Financial Solutions in 2007 before opening her own business in 2014.
Robert McFadden — NSW
Founder, owner, chief executive and mortgage broker of Hypotheque Pty Ltd, Mr McFadden has been running this business since April 2013.
Taras Mencinsky — NSW
A mortgage broker with over eight years of experience, Mr Mencinsky has been providing broking services in Sydney’s eastern suburbs and inner west as a senior credit adviser.
Darlene Neu — Victoria
Business owner for The Money Collective, Ms Neu’s business has offered education and broking services to the Greater Melbourne Area for almost three years.
Fred Obeido — NSW
Based in Concord, NSW, Mr Obedio current works for Proforma Financial Solutions.
Paul Pappas — NSW
Another entrant for Mortgage Choice, Mr Pappas has been a consultant for the Sydney CBD branch since January 2020, after being the owner and principal since 1999.
Philip Robertson — Victoria
The current director and founder of Profile Mortgage Centre, he has been broking for over 23 years.
Monica Wandel — SA
A finance professional with nine years of experience in retail, commercial and agribusiness, Ms Wandel is the director for SA Finance Hub/Finance to You Pty Ltd.
Recently appointed MFAA CEO Anja Pannek said: “The number of nominees we received this year really reflects the incredible engagement the MFAA has amongst its members, which is no doubt also a reflection of the results of our advocacy work for the industry in recent years.
“Our members are wanting to contribute and play their part in one of Australia’s leading industry bodies — which is absolutely fantastic.”
