In a bid to make itself more competitive in the mortgage landscape, Citiwide Homeloans has embarked upon a national broker recruitment drive.

The company’s managing director Patrick Marion told The Adviser that the company is looking to add another 20 brokers to its growing team within the next 12 months.

“It is important we recruit quality brokers. We have no hard and fast rule about how many brokers we can recruit. Instead, we just want to make sure they are quality operators that are a good fit for the Citiwdie culture,” he said.

According to Mr Marion, brokers that join the Citiwide team will enjoy excellent company support and an easy to use IT platform.

“Our IT Platform is quite unique. We have been developing it over the past five years and can now safely say that it is one of the best in the industry. It is a platform for brokers, developed by brokers,” he said.

Established in 1988, Citiwide is recognised as one of Australia’s most respected broking firms.

Today it offers more than just mortgage services. The company also boasts conveyancing and insurance services in-house.

And next year, the company hopes to add financial planning to its belt.

“We are attempting to become a bit of a one-stop shop,” Mr Marion said.

“This will be good for our broker partners, because it will give them better control over their clients. It puts a fence around the client. The more services you offer as a broker, the more likely you are to retain that client for life.”
