Where different communities help brokers find their own home

Promoted by LMG4 minute read

From Young Business Owners to Leading Ladies, there's a community at LMG that ensures brokers and support specialists never feel alone.

Being a business owner can be lonely. If there’s no opportunities to talk and share ideas with someone going through the same challenges and opportunities, running a business can feel very isolating.

Across LMG, there are almost 6,000 in the network comprising business owners, loan writers and support specialists. But while it's the biggest broker family, it’s a network where nobody gets lost.

LMG supports and celebrates the different roles and like-minded aspirations within its brokerages via its various engaging communities.

Whether you’re a young business owner with aspirations for growth or a Client Service Manager wanting to learn from your peers, LMG brings together like-minded members across a multitude of communities so they can grow together, professionally and personally.

Best Interest Mates

The most recent addition to LMG’s communities is Best Interest Mates. The group is focused on supporting men’s mental health and wellbeing through fitness.

The community has been formed as recent studies showed 43% of Australian men have reported feeling ‘lonely’, with 16% reporting high levels of loneliness.* Any owner can agree that the burden of running a business can weigh heavy on their shoulders.

Best Interest Mates President Leigh Tsoumerkas said the community provided an environment where male brokers could ‘come together for a walk, run, cycle or any other activity that gets the blood pumping and the mind cleared’.

“Brokers then hang around and have a chat, checking-in on each other professionally and personally,” said Mr Tsoumerkas.

“Best Interest Mates is dedicated to allocating time to let brokers breathe, meet other men that are open to sharing their thoughts and looking to support each other.”

Best Interest Mates is preparing to participate in the approaching Mo-vember activities. State-based breakfasts are being hosted around Australia, with donations going to the Mo-vember cause.

Superstar Solos

For every large brokerage in the industry, there’s a single broker business doing amazing things as well.

But being a solo broker comes with both challenges and triumphs. Often, finding a network of fellow solopreneurs to bounce ideas past and share experiences can make all the difference to your ability to thrive. Through LMG’s Superstar Solos community, brokers can connect, collaborate and catalyze their success with like-minded peers.

Female business owners

The Leading Ladies Community has grown to become the industry’s most recognised forum for female brokers.

It was designed as an opportunity for female entrepreneurs to come together to drive growth and profitability in their businesses. The initiative has swelled to touch hundreds of women across LMG and beyond. In an industry which has more men than women, Leading Ladies has become a community that helps women grow, build life-long connections and break-down barriers to success.

Asset Finance Community

LMG’s Asset Finance Community provides a forum to discuss industry trends, technology, marketing, events, challenges and opportunities in the specialisation.

Through regular events, workshops and mentoring opportunities, members are able to surround themselves with like-minded professionals.

Young business owners

Aged under 35, the Young Business Owners community (YBO) is made up of businesspeople at a similar point in their careers, eager to scale their businesses.

Whether it’s learning how to value a trail book, or determining if PAYG employees or contractors are better for their business, YBO members explore issues that are relevant to scaling businesses. YBO members also get exposure to our seasoned operators who share how they’ve established successful businesses. It’s a progressive culture, producing industry leaders of tomorrow.

Commercial specialists

Servicing clients looking to make commercial property or business acquisitions, purchase equipment or secure cash-flow lending requires different knowledge and connections. Commercial finance is a specialisation, framed by different lenders, structures and more.

Commercial Connect Circle brings together its top commercial brokers from around Australia and leading commercial property agents to share ideas, workshop issues, and support each other to grow their business in the specialised offering.

Client Service Managers and Loan Associates

As any business owner knows, well-trained support staff are vital for productivity. CSM (Client Service Manager) Connect Community allows support staff to come together with others who are in the engine rooms of their own brokerages, so they can share best-practice tips on MyCRM, client requests, packaging applications and more. Lunchtime webinars, virtual learning campuses and in-person training sessions support self-improvement. It’s a collegiate culture where learning and fun go hand-in-hand on the path to growth.

No matter where you are in your career, there’s a home for you at LMG where you can grow alongside specialists just like you.
