He will become a managing partner and co-director of UFinancial Queensland, effective 4 December.
Mr Clyne was most recently the state director for aggregation group LMG and has previously been a business development manager at Bankwest and Virgin Money, where he was also state manager for Queensland/the Northern Territory.
Working alongside Queensland managing partner and co-director Andrew Fisher (based in the Sunshine Coast office), Mr Clyne will be based in the Gold Coast office.
The duo will be tasked with strategic growth, building the group’s referral network in the region, and “elevating” client services.
Speaking of the new appointment, the chief executive of UFinancial Group, Bryce Deledio, noted Mr Clyne’s extensive background in corporate banking and third-party financial services, suggesting he would be a “vital asset” to the group.
“Trent’s inclusion in our leadership team is a strategic decision aimed at fortifying our market position,” he said.
“His wealth of experience perfectly aligns with our growth objectives and we are confident he will play a pivotal role in steering our expansion initiatives in Queensland.”
Mr Fisher, the co-director of UFinancial Queensland, added: “Trent’s arrival is a tremendous asset for our team. His industry knowledge and networks will undoubtedly enhance our capabilities and strengthen our presence in Queensland. We look forward to the valuable contributions he will make to our collaborative efforts.”
Taking to LinkedIn, Mr Clyne said he was thrilled to join “the highly successful UFinancial Group”, alongside Mr Fisher.
“I’m looking forward to strategically growing the Sunshine State and helping our customers achieve their financial goals, through building long-term relationships with them and our referral partners,” he said.
The broking group has been on a growth path recently, after merging with Court Financial Services earlier this month and opening a commercial offering at the beginning of the year.
