First-ever Elite Broker 2024 ranking launches

by Malavika Santhebennur5 minute read

The Adviser invites brokers across Australia to submit their data into the inaugural Elite Broker 2024 ranking by Thursday, 29 August 2024.

The Elite Broker 2024 ranking will highlight excellence across the residential, working capital, asset finance, and commercial broking sectors and recognise brokers who are at the pinnacle of their profession.

It champions the leading brokers who have written the largest loan volumes while dedicating themselves to working in the best interests of their clients and offering holistic service.

The rankings will be divided into four sections, including residential, working capital, asset finance, and commercial property broking. The final ranking will be determined by Agile Market Intelligence – the research arm of The Adviser’s parent company, Momentum Media – by using a range of metrics.

It is based on figures from the 2024 financial year ending 30 June 2024, with brokers assessed on their average loan size, which is calculated based on the number of settlements, volumes, and the value of the average loan size.

The Adviser is asking each broker to provide figures in FY24 across the following metrics in their respective area of broking:

  • Residential settlements: What was the total number of residential mortgages settled in the 2024 financial year ending 30 June 2024?
  • Residential volume: What was the total dollar value of residential mortgages settled in the 2024 financial year ending 30 June 2024?
  • Working capital settlements: What was the total number of working capital loans settled in the 2024 financial year ending 30 June 2024?
  • Working capital volume: What was the total dollar value of working capital loans settled in the 2024 financial year ending 30 June 2024?
  • Asset finance settlements: What was the total number of asset finance loans settled in the 2024 financial year ending 30 June 2024?
  • Asset finance volumes: What was the total dollar value of asset finance loans settled in the 2024 financial year ending 30 June 2024?
  • Commercial property settlements: What was the total number of commercial property loans settled in the 2024 financial year ending 30 June 2024?
  • Commercial property volumes: What was the total dollar value of commercial property loans settled in the 2024 financial year ending 30 June 2024?

In addition, The Adviser is asking brokers to attach documents from their aggregator or CRM verifying the number and volume of settlements for the 2024 financial year in an Excel or PDF document.

Alongside this, brokers must provide the following information:

  • Brokerage name
  • Contact name
  • Title
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Aggregation status: Do you aggregate with another firm?
  • Aggregator name: Who is your main aggregator?
  • Aggregator contact name
  • Aggregator contact email
  • Years in business: How many years of experience do you have as a broker?
  • State

Submissions for this ranking close on Thursday, 29 August 2024.
