Vic/TAS winners unveiled for Better Business Awards 2025

The Adviser has announced over 20 Victoria and Tasmania-based winners for the 12th annual Better Business Awards.

Victoria and Tasmania-based mortgage and finance broking professionals gathered tonight (27 February 2025) at The Crown in Melbourne for the Better Business Awards 2025.

Run in partnership with principal partner National Australia Bank (NAB), the Better Business Awards provides a platform for talented mortgage and finance professionals and businesses to gain recognition for outstanding achievements.

A total of 22 winners were selected across 20 individual and group categories and the Broker of the Year and Editor’s Choice awards.

The range of winners included brokers, brokerages, loan administrators, business development managers (BDM), large and boutique franchise and non-franchise offices, as well as industry thought leaders and mentors.

The highest-scoring individual winner was awarded the coveted Broker of the Year award in each state.

In Victoria, the winner of the Broker of the Year award was Kevin Agent of The Australian Lending & Investment Centre. Agent also walked away with the Best Customer Service (Individual) award earlier in the evening.

Arnab Baral of Cinch Loans was honoured with the Editor’s Choice award.

Other individual winners included Will Hamer at Loan Market Accelerate as Best Finance Broker; Jana de Jonge at ING Bank as Best Lender BDM (Bank); Prarthi Pandey Park, Finance and Consultancy as New Broker of the Year; and Katherine Persoglia, The Brokers’ Bible, as Wellness Advocate of the Year.

The group winners included Gippsland Finance Solutions as Best New Office, Loan Market Geelong City as Best Regional Office, Mortgage Haven as Best Community Engagement Program, Loan Market Geelong City as Best Customer Service (Office), and Opulent Finance as Best Finance Brokerage (Office), among others.

Being recognised as one of The Adviser’s best in business has the potential to propel winner’s careers to new heights while enhancing credibility for both professionals and businesses.

Australian stand-up comedian, writer, and actor Lizzy Hoo provided entertainment as the emcee throughout the evening.

The gala ceremony also offered broking professionals the opportunity to network with industry leaders and peers, while celebrating excellence.

Following over a decade of celebrating the leading lights of the mortgage and finance industry, this unparalleled awards program recognises notable results of trailblazers constantly excelling and pushing the sector forward.

The state-based awards will announce more winners in gala ceremonies across Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Sydney to be held between March and April this year.

The Better Business Awards 2025 will also be held in the following locations:

  • Thursday, 6 March at Pan Pacific, Perth.
  • Thursday, 20 March at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, Brisbane.
  • Friday, 28 March at InterContinental, Adelaide.
  • Thursday, 3 April at Hyatt Regency Sydney, Sydney.
