by Arabella Walton7 minute read

A total of 19 Western Australia-based winners have been announced for the annual Better Business Awards.

Western Australia-based mortgage and finance broking professionals gathered on Thursday night (6 March 2025) at Pan Pacific in Perth for the annual Better Business Awards 2025, run in partnership with National Australia Bank (NAB).

A total of 19 winners were announced, including the recipient of the highly anticipated Broker of the Year and Editor’s Choice awards.

Run in partnership with principal partner NAB, the Better Business Awards program offers talented mortgage and finance professionals and businesses a platform to gain national recognition for excellence over the past year.

More than 100 finalists battled it out across individual and group categories on the night, with the highest-scoring individual winner being crowned the coveted Broker of the Year award.

The range of winners included brokers, brokerages, loan administrators, business development managers (BDM), large and boutique franchise and non-franchise offices, as well as industry thought leaders and mentors.

Some of the individual winners included Eli Hayes of Mortgage Choice Albany, who walked away with the Broker of the Year award, having won the Best Regional Broker award earlier in the night.

Adam Donald of Capita Finance Solutions was named Best Residential Broker, Scott Chandler of Brighten Home Loans was Best Lender BDM (Non-Bank), Lisa Lam of AFG was announced as Best Aggregator BDM, and Robert Flynn of Vorteil Financial Group was the recipient of the Editor's Choice award.

Group winners included Ledge Home Loans as Best New Office, Loan Market Ellenbrook as Best Customer Service (Office), and The Lending Collective for Best Community Engagement Program.

Earning recognition as one of The Adviser’s top professionals can elevate careers to new heights, strengthening credibility for both individuals and businesses.

The gala ceremony also provided broking professionals the chance to celebrate excellence while networking with those leading the industry.

The emcee, Dave Thornton, Australian stand-up comedian, actor, television, and radio presenter provided light and laughter throughout the evening.

For more than a decade, this prestigious awards program has honoured top achievers in the mortgage and finance industry, celebrating those who consistently drive innovation and success in the sector.

The Adviser sends congratulations to all winners!
