While the majority of brokers thought Australia had it in them to claim the ultimate victory over their English counterparts, it simply wasn’t to be.
After a nail-biting third game, Australia was annihilated by the English in the fourth test, handing them their first Ashes loss on home soil in 24 years.
According to The Adviser’s latest sentiment survey, 54.9 per cent of brokers thought the Australian team had it in them to win back the Ashes – but alas, it wasn’t the case.
Of the 213 respondents, 45.1 per cent dismissed the Australian team and sided with the English.
But despite not being able to recliam the urn from the English, all is not over yet for the Australians. There is still one more test left to play with pride and a series draw on the line.
