Brokers want more from their software systems than the ability to compare products, new research has revealed.

According to a recent survey conducted by Stargate, brokers want their software systems to offer improved leads management; detailed reporting functions; electronic lodgement capabilities and email functionality.

Of the 320 brokers surveyed in the poll, 70 per cent said if these improvements were made to their current software systems, it would help them enhance their business capabilities.

Stargate chief executive officer Brett Spencer said IT Systems represent the backbone of most broker businesses.

“These systems often dictate the workflow and determine the relative efficiency of their lead and loan conversion metrics. This survey confirms the importance back-office systems have in a broker’s day and the necessity to make the right choices to ensure their business remains as streamlined as possible,” he said.
