In addition, the second tier lender is looking to hold several road shows across the country.
The lender’s head of commercial broker sales Aaron Milburn said commercial education is now more important than ever as more brokers increasingly diversify their portfolios.
“We are seeing a greater number of brokers diversify from solely residential brokerage to commercial brokerage, and as a lender we wish to support brokers in that transition,” he said.
“In order to support this trend we will provide platforms for regular contact and support. This will improve our relationships, speed up deals through the system for both broker and the client and improve the quality of those deals.”
Mr Milburn will head up the national road shows, which start touring the country in February.
According to Mr Milburn, the road shows were created to help the lender communicate directly with brokers on Bankwest’s future strategy, and more specifically, what they can expect from the refreshed commercial broker strategy.
“Hopefully this type of interactive environment will be the catalyst for a better relationship between bank and broker,” Mr Milburn said..
