A New Zealand mortgage broker is currently being investigated by police after persudading a couple to loan her $100,000.

According to an article in the Sydney Morning Herald, Kerry Buddle urged a street sweeper and his wife to mortgage their house and give her the money.

It is alleged that Ms Buddle signed a document promising to deposit $NZ775 a month into the couple’s bank account in order to pay back the loan, but frequently missed the payments.

Ms Buddle operated under an agreement with Kiwi Mortgage Market until it closed her down last year.

Police are currently investigating the broker, after they received six complaints against her.
