Many brokers are starting to host educational seminars and question nights in their local community to generate new leads.
Pink Finance’s Nicole Cannon said it was crucial for brokers in this flat market to get in front of as many people as possible to generate interest wherever possible.
“Educational seminars are a great way to interact with potential clients in a non-threatening manner. I work with my referral partners to host different events in the local community. Not only does this help me establish my brand and professionalism in the community, but it also helps me interact with people I would otherwise not come into contact with,” Ms Cannon told The Adviser.
Ms Cannon said as buyers take longer to make purchasing decisions, it was important for brokers to build pipelines that can generate new business.
“As a broker, I need to be constantly finding ways to funnel business so that my settlements aren’t affected. Hosting educational seminars allows me to do just that.”
