Recent appointments include Tony Versace in Western Australia, Andrew Cairns in Queensland and Martin Glover in New South Wales who will work to cement ING DIRECT as the leader of the second tier lenders.
ING DIRECT’s head of broker sales Mark Woolnough said the appointments would add experience and industry knowledge to the team, giving the bank strong footing for the future.
“We hope these appointments will help us cement ourselves as a true alternative to the majors,” he said.
ING DIRECT’s Martin Glover worked in the bank’s mortgage management division before taking up the role of NSW State Manager in January.
Andrew Cairns joins from CBA and has extensive knowledge across multiple asset classes and proven leadership skills. He brings a strong sales background to the role working to recreate stability in the Queensland market and expand ING DIRECT’s footprint in the state.
“In SA and WA, Stephen Pettitt has done an outstanding job to increase levels of broker satisfaction in both states, creating a new standard for sales and leadership. Stephen Pettitt continues in the role of state manager in South Australia but it was a challenge to appoint someone in Western Australia who is capable of continuing Stephen’s work to date, however, Tony Versace, is certainly up to the task,” Mr Woolnough said.
Tony Versace brings an intimate knowledge of the dynamic WA market and is in touch with the varying needs created by the resources boom.
