Mortgage EZY, Resimac, Firstmac and Mortgage Port were all named as campaign participators, with each lender expected to provide discounts up to 0.4 per cent to more than 40,000 registered home owners.
The announcement raised an eyebrow or two among brokers, with many believing the switching campaign will cause them to lose a significant number of clients.
But Mortgage EZY chief executive officer Garry Driscoll dismissed the concerns and said the lender would continue to deal exclusively with its preferred broker partners.
“We will be distributing the leads generated by the Big Bank Switch campaign to our broker partners,” Mr Driscoll told The Adviser.
“Brokers will start receiving leads as early as today, it is then up to them to talk to the client and broker them a better mortgage.”
Mr Driscoll said Mortgage EZY had always dealt exclusively with the third party distribution channel and had no plans of changing this.
When asked which brokers would receive leads, Mr Driscoll said the lender would first look to distribute the potential clients to its preferred network of brokers.
“We have a certain number of brokers that have always supported us and we want to support them in kind.”
