Mr Ewens joins the Mortgage Choice team with a wealth of experience, having spent the last 23 years working in the corporate and finance sectors.
Most recently, Mr Ewens held the title of national sales operations manager Bankwest specialist sales.
As of 12 December, Mr Ewens will manage a Mortgage Choice state office team that provides quality communication to its franchise network and supports them with activities such as business planning, growth strategies and marketing direction.
He will be responsible for the state’s outcomes in relation to recruitment and business growth, and will contribute to the development and implementation of agreed company strategies.
Mortgage Choice general manager product and distribution Andrew Russell said he was pleased to attract such a high caliber person to the Mortgage Choice team.
“We received an impressive number of quality applications for the role. With his strong relationship skills and understanding of brokers’ businesses, among other solid attributes, David stood out,” Mr Russell said.
“I know he will add tremendous value to our NSW and ACT franchise networks.”
Mr Ewens said he was pleased to be the successful candidate for this role.
“Mortgage Choice is an institution and brand that is well entrenched and respected throughout the mortgage and finance industry,” he said.
“It’s very exciting to have the opportunity to contribute to the company’s continued growth and work closely with an already-high performing state office team. I'm looking forward to better understanding and working through any challenges in consultation with the NSW/ACT franchisees so we can strengthen our support.”
