The initiative, Valuations Status Update, was launched in a bid to provide brokers with greater flexibility in obtaining live updates.
"This new feature allows brokers and third parties who do not have access to ValEx to view and track the status of their valuation request," RP Data's head of client relations Michael Hooper said.
"Our user-friendly website is simple to use and does not require a login. All that's required to view the status is the Lenders Valuation reference, a borrower surname or the ValEx ID. In addition, this new service allows brokers the opportunity to provide ValEx with additional information to assist with the valuation process of a current job."
While sensitive information cannot be obtained from the Valuations Status Update site about the valuation assessment, or which client the assessment is for, RP Data & ValEx have implemented protective security measures where identification details such as a loan reference/ValEx ID and the borrower surname is included to ensure they are actually privy to the valuation request.
A security word capture will also be in place to ensure additional security precautions.
"Our new service heralds an exciting time in our industry - nowhere else is a broker able to access a live, 24/7 valuation status update, view the visibility of history, view dates and have the ability to email a ValEx team member for direct action against a particular job as well as the ability to access a single source for all status updates for current client property valuations," Mr Hooper said.
