Australia’s leading brokers and broker groups will find out today if they have been shortlisted for the next round of the 2012 Australian Broking Awards.

In what proved to be a major undertaking the shortlists for this year’s Awards are now complete. Of the hundreds of initial submissions the field has now been narrowed to the final 90.

As part the robust assessment process, shortlisted finalists will be asked to complete a detailed submission including additional business details and other information to support their nomination.

Jim Hall, publisher of The Adviser, said determining this year shortlists proved a substantial task.

“We've been inundated with expressions of interest for this year’s awards. It's encouraging to see a strong return from last year’s finalists but there has been strong representation from many other individuals and groups.

"The level of interest in this year's awards bears testament to the health of the broking industry. Despite the relatively weak performance of most property markets the leading brokers and brokerage groups continue to grow and this is reflected in the figures that we are seeing from participants in our awards," Mr Hall said.

“I wish all finalists the best of luck moving forward in the competition.”

Now in its second year, the Australian Broking Awards, partnered by the Commonwealth Bank, will be held at a business luncheon at the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Sydney on July 27.

Shortlisted finalists’ submission deadline is scheduled for 25 May 2012. Full details on each award criteria and the submission process can be sourced HERE.
