In what was a closely fought battle, one broker has emerged victorious to claim the coveted title of Broker of the Year at the 2012 annual Australian Broking Awards.

Rate Detective Home Loans’ Warren Dworcan was named Broker of the Year as well as Residential Broker of the Year.
Speaking to The Adviser, Mr Dworcan said he was grateful just to be nominated and never expected to win.
“I am absolutely shocked to win,” he said.
“I never imagined I would win Broker of the Year. The competition was incredible, I am privileged to be amongst the finalists, let alone win.
“I am very lucky to be part of a great team. The market is flat, but we have been incredibly busy, which is great.”
Mr Dworcan was one of 14 winners recognised at the Australian Broking Awards on Friday afternoon. Listed below are all the winners from the day.
