Last week, St George took home the Salesforce of the Year Award at the 2012 Mobile Awards for its new iPad app – the Mobile Broker Toolkit.
Speaking to The Adviser, St George’s general manager mortgage broking Clive Kirkpatrick said the app facilitates a new way of selling home loans, and provides a fresh, interactive sales experience, utilising the iPad as an innovative and interactive sales tool.
Brokers no longer need a laptop and paper based brochures when visiting a client.
The iPad app provides content, calculations and scenario analysis, allowing brokers to demonstrate the various options to clients – making the sales experience interactive and inclusive.
According to Mr Kirkpatrick, the app simplifies and standardises a meeting at the client’s home or workplace, and empowers brokers to answer questions on the spot.
"We're absolutely thrilled to win this award. We pride ourselves on delivering innovation in technology to our broker partners, we were first to market with a broker iPad app because we could see the value it would add to a brokers business,” he said.
