According to the lender’s general manager mortgage broking Clive Kirkpatrick, the conference helped St George reward and recognise its most valuable brokers for their commitment and advocacy.
"St George was the first lender to introduce a high value broker segment in 2007, since then the program has been through quite a bit of change, it was important to us to bring the Flame group together to set a new benchmark for Flame 2013 and beyond,” he said.
"This was the first time that I have been with the Flame brokers as a group, so the key for me was to thank brokers for their advocacy and also to reaffirm our commitment to working as a partnership.”
Mr Kirkpatrick said during the conference, the Flame group visited the operations processing centre where they were able to meet and network with the assessors who process their deals every day.
"We had a great time. It was really special to be able to acknowledge the brokers who have been part of Flame since the very beginning and to welcome new members to the fold,” he said.
"I think for most though, the highlight was the working groups and networking which delivered great opportunity for the brokers to tell us what they need from us and to hear about our plans for 2013.”
