Yesterday, Australian Mortgage Brokers, which placed eighth in The Adviser's Top 25 Brokerages ranking earlier this year, announced it had appointed Nathan Kerr to the role.
Mr Kerr has more than 12 years' experience in the banking and finance sector.
Having commenced his finance career in 1999 with RAMS Home Loans, he spent seven years with the brand, gaining experience in national operations and distribution roles.
In 2007, while employed with St George, Mr Kerr was approached by the Commonwealth Bank to head its mortgage innovation department.
As part of his new role, Mr Kerr is expected to help the AMB brand grow.
Mr Kerr’s experience and strength in leadership make him an ideal driver of success over the coming years, Australian Mortgage Brokers said in a statement.
“His experience in innovative franchise models will lend a fresh perspective as the AMB model continues to evolve,” the statement read.
