The ING DIRECT team enjoyed a day of bowling and arcade games at Darling Harbour with a group of children between the ages of 6 and 12 years from Glebe Centipede, an out of school hours childcare service for low-income families.
The volunteer day was organised by United Way, one of ING DIRECT’s four community partners which form the bank’s Community Impact programme.
Last year, ING DIRECT staff spent 3,300 hours volunteering, equal to more than $150,000 in value.
Speaking about the day, ING DIRECT’s Mark Woolnough said it was a great opportunity for brokers and staff to engage with those in need.
“The volunteering day was organised to involve our third party partners in the fantastic community work ING DIRECT does throughout the year,” he said.
