Mr Howard will share his insights on the economic future, both in Australia and overseas, with its many challenges impacting local businesses.
The convention is one of the largest events of its type in Australia and will be held in the Sydney Convention Centre, with more than 700 mortgage and finance professionals expected to attend.
The convention will address myriad changes and challenges facing industry players over the next few years, including regulatory and economic issues. The convention will equip members with answers so they can gain a competitive edge and put new found knowledge, motivation and contacts to work.
Also appearing as a featured speaker will be media personality Andrew Denton, who will talk about client relationships and loyalty and share his experience gained from interviewing a wide range of people over the years.
John Peters, a former prisoner of war, and Richard de Crespigny, who saved the lives of 460 passengers on a recent Qantas flight, will both present their unique insights into developing judgement and decision making skills.
MFAA chief executive officer Phil Naylor said the convention is designed to deliver knowledge and tools that members can apply immediately to their businesses and careers and also deal with the changing regulatory and economic environment.
"The convention will allow mortgage and finance professionals to stay ahead of the game, with sessions filled with relevant and thought provoking seminars, as well as exhibits and networking opportunities,” Mr Naylor said.
