In a bid to help its brokers increase their level of productivity, one brokerage has announced its plan to implement a new support service.

Speaking to The Adviser at the recent MFAA conference in Sydney, Oxygen Home Loans’ general manager Alan Hemmings said the brokerage was looking to offer its members additional processing and administrative support.

“We haven’t decided whether or not we will implement an outsource model or hire loans processors to work in our head office, but whatever the case, we plan to provide our brokers with an extra level of support that they can use to help them with the loans processing side of their business,” he said.

“In my conversations with brokers, I understand that the introduction of NCCP has increased the level of paperwork brokers have to complete. Sometimes brokers are very good sales people, but they hate processing loans. Unfortunately, so much of a broker’s business these days is processing, so we want to provide our brokers with an extra level of support so that they can spend their time doing what they are good at and love – helping people achieve their dream of homeownership.”
