Brought to you by NextGen.Net and Frollo

On 1 November 2020, a new milestone for open banking was set as the second phase of the Consumer Data Right (CDR) took effect. Individual customers of the major banks can now share their data on their mortgages and mortgage offsets with an accredited recipient of the CDR.

But what does this all mean - and how will it impact how mortgages are written?

In this episode of In Focus, brought to you by NextGen.Net and Frollo, host Annie Kane chats to Tony Carn (chief customer officer, NextGen.Net) and Gareth Gumbley (CEO, Frollo) to discuss the ins and outs of the new phase of CDR, and what their new report, ‘The State of Open Banking in Australia' , unveiled about sentiment towards CDR from those working in the finance industry.

Tune in to find out:

  • How CDR could change the mortgage process
  • What the finance industry thinks about open banking and its utilisation
  • How brokers can prepare for open banking, now.
  • All this, plus much more!

Find out what the financial sector thinks of the new regime, where it is headed, and what the most immediate challenges and opportunities are for businesses, in The State of Open Banking in Australia report.
