Australian Financial has restructured its team in a bid to provide greater service to its broker partners.

Effective from today, Alicia Carter will take up the role of national sales manager.

Ms Carter joined the company in 2004 and has held positions in both the marketing and customer service departments.

She is expected to help the company transition into a self managed super fund specialist in 2012.

At present, Australian Financial are undergoing market segmentation research and will be targeting brokers with similar synergies.

"I'm committed to the mortgage management sector and see a real future in the self managed super fund loans space," Ms Carter said.

"We have spoken to a lot of brokers already who are frustrated with the service levels offered by other providers and the lack of knowledge available to them."

Australian Financial are in the process of developing an on-line education program with the sole purpose of informing mortgage brokers of the SMSF loan process and answering the frequently asked questions.
