The Adviser would like your help distributing the 2020 Consumer Access to Mortgages survey.
The Adviser has once again commissioned Momentum Intelligence to conduct a survey on the attitudes, perceptions and priorities of Australians to quantify the value of the third-party distribution channel to the Australian public.
In February 2019, The Adviser and Momentum Intelligence released the inaugural report at a time when the industry was under significant threat from mainstream media and regulators following the banking royal commission. The whitepaper highlighted the significant benefits that mortgage brokers provide in creating competition and positive outcomes for Australian borrowers.
This year’s survey aims to enrich the public’s understanding of the role that mortgage brokers play in servicing Australian borrowers and to uncover the attitudes and perceptions of future mortgagors, too.
It is hoped that the findings of this survey could help shape the continued narrative around the value proposition of the broker channel and provide clarity on what borrowers think is in their best interests, ahead of the new best interests duty coming into force next year.
Here's how you can invite your clients to participate:
The Adviser would like you to help support this industry initiative by inviting your clients to respond to this short, three-minute survey which explores their experiences over the last 12 months. Simply click "Download resources" below and we will send you the following:
- An example email inviting your clients to complete the survey
- A list of the questions included in the survey
- A link to the survey
Alternatively, share this link directly to your social media: https://momentumintelligence.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5A5vAbNbTVdHEYl. This survey is completely anonymous and none of your client’s personal details will be collected during the survey process. The survey closes on the 20th of December. We ask that you encourage your clients to participate as soon as possible to minimise the effects of the holiday season on your response rates.
Your participation in this initiative will continue to ensure that policymakers, regulators, industry bodies and the Australian public are aware of the value the mortgage broking industry provides to Australian consumers.
