Challenger Financial Services Group today announced a raft of executive changes under the guidance of newly-appointed chief executive officer Dominic Stevens.
As part of a management restructure Drew Hall, Challenger Mortgage Management’s current chief financial officer and chief operations officer, will step up to the role of chief executive.

Mr Hall replaces Brian Benari who has been promoted to the position of group chief financial officer and group chief operating officer for Challenger Financial Services Group.
Along with Mr Benari and general manager of residential and commercial lending Steve Weston, Mr Hall has played a key role in driving Challenger Mortgage Management’s growth.
Speaking on the executive restructure within the group’s mortgage management division, Mr Benari told Mortgage Business that today’s announcement “highlighted the depth of Challenger’s mortgage management team.”
“Drew has been there at every step of the journey,” Mr Benari said.
“He [Mr Hall] was heavily involved in the recent major acquisitions including Choice Aggregation Services, PLAN Australia and FAST as well as listed mortgage manager Homeloans Ltd.”
According to Mr Hall there will be a smooth transition and it will be “very much business as usual” for Challenger’s mortgage management business.
“It’s full steam ahead,” said Mr Hall. “I’ve worked closely with Brian and Steve for many years and I’m looking worked to building on the growth we’ve achieved so far.”
