Demand for fixed rates rise

Research by financial comparison website RateCity and Canstar Cannex has shown an increase in borrowers seeking fixed over variable rate products.

According to the research, the number of people who applied for a fixed rate home loan increased from 27 per cent in April to 49 per cent in June 2009.
