Sydney and Melbourne have enjoyed another weekend of firm auction clearance results, suggesting the property market is still relatively buoyant.

In Sydney, 221 properties were sold for a clearance rate of 65.6 per cent, marginally ahead of last weekend’s 65.1 per cent.

A three bedroom house in Coogee was the most expensive property sold over the weekend, selling for $3.775 million; a three bedroom house in Wyoming was the least expensive property sold over the weekend for $244,100.

While the number of properties listed in Melbourne was down from the record 949 last week, the capital city still managed to achieve a fairly respectable result – with 120 properties sold for a clearance rate of 68.2 per cent.

In Adelaide and Brisbane, 18 and 21 properties were sold respectively.

Adelaide achieved a clearance result of 48.6 per cent, while Brisbane achieved a 50.0 per cent clearance rate.
